We then weave through the city, passing modern skyscrapers on our way to a local wet market.
As you walk through this bustling bazaar, your KIX host will point out some of the more unusual items on sale and buy a typical Saigon snack for you to try.
Back on the bikes, we continue through the city’s laneways to a memorial site where you’ll learn a remarkable piece of history rarely told to tourists.
Up next is a visit to a traditional Saigon neighborhood. This is a unique opportunity to scratch beneath the surface and learn about daily life in the big city.
KIX will introduce you to some of the friendly local residents, who will share their stories with you.
We make a brief stop at a cafe for a caffeine boost of strong Vietnamese coffee before zig-zagging through town – and through time!
Having left the old, traditional neighborhood, we move to a modern district brimming with colorful street art. Follow your host to the most photo-worthy stops and mingle with the locals as they go about their daily activities.
No Saigon city tour by scooter would be complete without some noodles! KIX will take you to a popular local spot where you’ll sample one of Saigon’s most beloved dishes.
With a full belly and a camera (phone) filled with images, your Ho Chi Minh City scooter tour wraps up with a hotel drop-off.

Saigon changes throughout the day, with different markets and different street scenes from one hour to the next- that’s one of the things we love about the city! So although our stops on this Saigon city tour are the same, there are some slight differences in what you may see on the morning and the afternoon tours. But regardless of whether you join the morning or the afternoon, you are sure to capture some brilliant photos of local life and your host will share hidden gems in the city that you wouldn’t be able to find on your own!
All KIX scooter tours start with a pick up at your hotel. When booking your tour, please be sure to include the name and address of your hotel in Saigon so that we can arrange pick up!
The Saigon Senses half day tour is not about classic site seeing. We will drive by some of the famous places, such as the Central Post Office, but our Saigon Senses scooter tour is focused on local life and going to places where locals eat, live, work and play. So we suggest doing the ‘classic’ sites on your own and joining us for a journey through lesser known, more local parts of the city!
